Common questions
Quick answers about Covie.
What is Covie for?
Covie brings purpose-built calendar types into one account: Staff Rosters, Salon Bookings, Shared Facilities, Social Groups and Co-parenting. Each calendar keeps its own people and the details that fit its purpose.
Can I have more than one calendar?
Yes. You can create or join multiple calendars and switch between them from one account. Membership and permissions are separate for each calendar.
What is my Personal calendar?
Personal brings your own commitments together, including assigned shifts, your bookings and events you are going to. It links back to the original calendar and stays private to your account. It does not share your other plans with a business or group.
How do Salon bookings work?
A salon can offer services and available practitioner times on its booking page. Choose a service, practitioner and day, then sign in to confirm. Your appointment appears in Personal, where you can open its details and change or cancel it within the salon’s rules. Covie does not collect payment for the appointment.
How does co-parenting work?
Start a family calendar on your own and invite the other parent later. Parenting days, events, shared costs and responsibilities stay together. Changes that affect the shared plan can require approval, with decisions collected in Updates.
Is Covie a legal record or court evidence service?
No. Covie is an everyday organiser. It does not determine legal parenting rights, replace a parenting agreement or court order, or provide legal advice.
How are passwords and accounts protected?
Covie uses managed authentication, email verification for new email/password accounts, signed sessions and server-side calendar permissions. Passwords are not stored by Covie as readable plain text.
Who can see my calendar?
Shared workspaces use calendar membership and roles. A salon owner can also enable a separate public page showing offered services, practitioner profiles and available times. Clients can see only their own appointment details. Joining or booking with one calendar gives no access to your other calendars, and Personal stays private to you.
What happens if I connect Google Calendar?
For co-parenting calendars, the connection is optional, one-way output from Covie to a separate Google calendar. Covie stays the source of truth. Changes in Google Calendar do not update Covie, and you can disconnect the connection from Covie.
Can I reset a forgotten password?
Yes. Use Forgot password on the sign-in page and follow the reset email from Covie's authentication provider.
What information should I put in a child profile?
Only add information that is genuinely useful for co-parenting and that you are entitled to share. Take extra care with medical, school and identity information.
How do I report a privacy or security concern?
Use the contact section below and choose Privacy or security. If the concern involves account access, include enough detail for us to identify the issue without sending passwords or other secrets.
